We form a place,
that makes sense

You can come to the Saturday session as you are without having to report ahead or dress in any special way. You don't need anything with you, not even the Bible or prior knowledge of it. We have enough Bibles at SafePoint, and together we search for answers to the questions that arise in life. A place among us is also found by people who consider themselves atheists, but who are eager to walk a part of their life's journey with us. We look forward to seeing you too!

Transparency is an important value for us. SafePoint is part of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church, which is a duly registered church in the Czech Republic. We want our community to be spiritually and relationally healthy, and therefore we reject any coercive or manipulative practices that occur in communities with sectarian features. We believe that each person has a unique path, and we do not want to push anyone into any prescribed form or impose binding religious claims on them. God is the God of freedom, and he meets us where we are. We also believe that God and his plan to save is available beyond the SafePoint community, and so we want to maintain friendly relations with other church communities.

We create an open community for all people without distinction. We don't want to judge anyone, but to offer a safe environment where people can experience God's acceptance, whatever they may be. We reject any expression of homophobia. On the question of interpretations of controversial passages, which are often mentioned on this subject, we leave room for individual interpretation. We don't want to contribute to divisions in society or wage culture wars. We focus on the depth of Jesus' message of love. Therefore, we welcome among ourselves both people with conservative and progressive positions on these issues, insofar as their expression of opinion is not aggressive, condescending and homophobic. We respect the Church's expression on this issue while learning to listen to each other and build SafePoint on God's love that welcomes everyone.

For those interested in faith, we also regularly organize First Steps courses, where we focus on how to know God's guidance and love through the Bible and our lives. We open this course several times a year. You can find more information here.

Be sure to come! Although we focus on clarity for younger generations in our communication, we are not a closed group and we value intergenerational relationships very much. We will be glad if you visit us on Saturday, whatever your age.

SafePoint’s vision focuses on being accessible to Czech speakers, so most of our program is conducted in Czech. However, we strive to be welcoming to non-Czech speakers as well. People from different countries who don’t speak Czech regularly join us. That’s why we provide an English translation of every sermon as a downloadable PDF during the service. After the sermon, we have discussion groups, including one that is always in English and very popular. The vast majority of people at SafePoint speak English, so you won’t have any trouble finding someone to talk to. We would love to see you!
